M7CL V2
Firmware

V2.03

Note

  • In order to use the editor software with firmware V2.03, you MUST use M7CL V2 Editor V2.5.1.

Improvements

  • The BUS SETUP parameters (BUS TYPE/PRE FADER SEND POINT/PAN LINK) are now included for Global Paste operations if you select ALL for MIX/MATRIX channels.
  • The SEND LEVEL parameters are now passed from odd-numbered buses for Global Paste operations when the SIGNAL TYPE of the buses is set to STEREO for the copy source and MONOx2 for the paste destination if you select ALL for the MIX/MATRIX channels.
  • Improved the automatic insertion on/off behavior when specifying or clearing a GEQ insertion.
  • The MONITOR FADER can now be reset to 0dB if you press the on-screen MONITOR FADER knob while holding down the user-defined key to which SET NOMINAL is assigned.

Fixed bugs

  • Fixed a problem that sometimes caused most parameters of the console to become inoperable after the following operation: Assign MONITOR FADER LEVEL to the STEREO MASTER fader or MONO MASTER fader. Turn off the console and turn power back on. Press the CUE key of the MASTER fader assigned to the MONITOR FADER LEVEL function.
  • Fixed some problems which happened for Global Paste operations as follows:
    Fixed problems in detail
  • Fixed a problem so that you can now adjust the level balance within the link group using the multiple faders when you press one of the [SEL] keys to temporarily defeat the channel link.
  • Fixed a problem in which the "temporary defeating" channel link was cancelled when you adjusted another channel fader while temporarily defeating the channel link by pressing the [SEL] key if "AUTO CHANNEL SELECT - INPUT" and "[SEL] -> [NAVIGATION KEY] LINK" were on.
  • Fixed a problem in which the user at which MIX/MATRIX channel WITH MIX/MATRIX SEND was turned off as ACCESS PERMISSION could change the SEND PRE parameters.
  • Fixed a problem in which the Help would not appear correctly if you pressed an on-screen place of firmware V2 new features while holding down the user-defined key to which HELP was assigned. To fix the problem, you need to download the updated Help file from our website and load it on your console.
  • Fixed a problem in which the signal of ST IN channel 4R would be input if you selected SELF PRE EQ as the KEYIN signal for the ST IN channel 4L DYNAMICS1.

Supplementary Information

  • In Global Paste operations, unlike other similar operations, the Insert Out and Direct Out parameters of input channels are included not in INPUT PATCH but in OUTPUT PATCH.
  • Some parameters included in OUTPUT for Global Paste operations differ between those when ALL is selected and those when WITH MIX SEND/WITH MATRIX SEND is selected. When ALL is selected, this includes SIGNAL TYPE (STEREO/MONOx2) and PAN LINK but excludes SEND PAN (from input channels). When WITH MIX SEND/WITH MATRIX SEND is selected, this includes SEND PAN but excludes SIGNAL TYPE and PAN LINK.
  • When you "global paste" to scenes in which some input channels are linked, the copied parameters are pasted only to the input channels selected as the paste destination.
  • When you load a file saved in M7CL V1 to an M7CL running firmware Version 2, the channel library data of the previous session remains accessible. When a V1 file is loaded to the M7CL V2 Editor, the channel library data of the previous session is cleared.
  • If an Administrator, External User, or Guest user is logging in while the connection with the M7CL V2 Editor is online, the Preference settings will be updated only when you perform the Re-synchronization operation (not updated in real time).
  • If Administrator user is logging in while the connection with the M7CL V2 Editor is online, the Preference settings for Guest will be updated only when you perform the Re-synchronization operation (not updated in real time).

V2.02

Fixed bug

  • Messages for the Global Paste function have been corrected.

V2.01

Notes

  • In order to use the editor software with firmware V2.01, you MUST use M7CL V2 Editor V2.5.0.
  • "Direct access of Sends on Fader from knobs during the Sends on Fader mode" feature is not implemented in this release. This feature will be made available in a future update.

New Features

  • In SENDS ON FADER mode, the top panel faders can now be used to adjust input to MATRIX send levels.
  • In SENDS ON FADER mode, the send-destination MATRIX bus can now be selected by pressing the [MATRIX] navigation key and then pressing a [SEL] key in the Centralogic section.
  • Various channel parameters can now be saved together as part of the input channel library or the output channel library.
  • You can now select POST ON (immediately after the fader and the [ON] key) as an insert or direct output position.
  • When specifying or clearing a GEQ insertion, insert will now be turned on/off automatically.
  • When you enable channel link, HA gain and fader operations will now be linked while maintaining the level difference between channels.
  • You can now use the Global Paste function to copy and paste desired channel or parameter settings from the current scene to multiple scene data in memory.
  • The attenuator is now an independent Recall Safe parameter and no longer part of the EQ.
  • The STEREO MASTER fader and the MONO MASTER fader can be used to control monitor output level.
  • Additional functions can now be assigned to the user-defined keys.

Improvements

  • Input channel GATE can now be set to as low as -72dB.
  • Multiple scenes now cannot be cut to prevent unintended operations. It was possible to cut but not paste multiple scenes in previous firmware versions.
  • Categorization of Recall Safe parameters were revised as follows:
    • INPUT MIX SEND now includes INPUT TO MIX PRE/POST.
    • INPUT MATRIX SEND now includes INPUT TO MATRIX PRE/POST.
    • MIX TO MATRIX SEND now includes MIX TO MATRIX PRE/POST.
    • STEREO TO MATRIX SEND now includes STEREO TO MATRIX PRE/POST.
  • INPUT TO MIX PRE/POST and INPUT TO MATRIX parameters now can be linked between channels (Channel Link).
  • Operation of USB storage devices of up to 16GB has been checked to support increasingly large-capacity USB storage devices (previous limitation was 2GB). This does not however guarantee compatibility with all commercially available USB storage devices of 16GB or less. M7CL firmware V1.12 and later formats media larger than 4GB in FAT32, and media 2GB or less in FAT16.
  • The movement of linked faders has been improved.
  • The default settings for the EXTERNAL HA PORT SELECT popup buttons in the VIRTUAL RACK window have been modified to allow quick external head amp settings when SB168-ES devices are connected as below:
    • ID #1: SLOT1 1-8
    • ID #2: SLOT1 9-16
    • ID #3: SLOT2 1-8
    • ID #4: SLOT2 9-16

Supplementary Information

  • In Global Paste operations, unlike other similar operations, the Insert Out and Direct Out parameters of input channels are included not in INPUT PATCH but in OUTPUT PATCH.
  • Some parameters included in OUTPUT for Global Paste operations differ between those when ALL is selected and those when WITH MIX SEND/WITH MATRIX SEND is selected. When ALL is selected, this includes SIGNAL TYPE (STEREO/MONOx2) but excludes PAN LINK and SEND PAN (from input channels). When WITH MIX SEND/WITH MATRIX SEND is selected, this includes SEND PAN but excludes SIGNAL TYPE and PAN LINK.
  • When you try to "global paste" to scenes in which some input channels are linked, the copied parameters are pasted only to the input channels of the paste destination.
  • When you load a file saved in M7CL V1 to an M7CL running firmware Version 2, the channel library data of the previous session remains accessible. When a V1 file is loaded to the M7CL V2 Editor, the channel library data of the previous session is cleared.
