DME firmware version 3.5 takes Yamaha DME series performance to a higher level of refinement. In addition to a new component for installations and broadcast applications, this firmware update improves overall operation speed and efficiency in a number of ways.
The V3.5 software is available at the firmware/software download page.
The new Program Ducker component features significantly longer attack and release times than the original Ducker component. Mono and stereo types can be flexibly configured to accommodate a wide range of applications. The Program Ducker offers all the versatility required for installations ranging from banquet halls to theme parks, while additionally providing camera tally link capability for broadcasting - a field in which the DME series is finding increasing acceptance.
The Program Ducker can be triggered from an oscillator. This makes it possible to use the output of a single oscillator to simultaneously trigger multiple channels for 5.1 surround, for example.
Firmware version 3.5 now supports emergency clocking for the DME Satellite ES series, providing even greater reliability in ring-connected EtherSound networks.
Sync time is 120%-200% quicker due to improved internal file system management, allowing faster and easier system setup.
Audio can now be transmitted and received across different device groups in large-scale systems.
DME Designer's new optimizing compiler employs a sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithm allowing you to get maximum usage of DSP hardware resources. Now larger designs will fit in the same processor.
Support is now provided for the MY16-ES64 (EtherSound format), MY16-MD64 (MADI format), and MY16-EX (expansion for the two preceding cards).
In addition to device icons for recently released products such as the rack-mountable IMX644 digital mixer and IPA8200 multi-channel power amplifier, new NEXO speakers icons are available for use as external devices in DME Designer.
