M7CL
Firmware

V1.17

New Features

  • The GAIN and +48V parameters of the internal head amplifier can now be transmitted or received as control change messages (NRPN).
  • The HPF ON and HPF Frequency parameters of an external head amplifier can now be saved in the scene memories.

Improvement

  • To improve the quietness and durability of motor faders, fader speed was adjusted. Scene recall times and other performance specifications were not modified.

Fixed Bug

  • Fixed a problem in which the GR meter in the DYNAMICS1 for MONO channel did not work.

V1.15

Improvement

  • Improved the symptom that M7CL remained a shutdown condition when M7CL returned to a normal condition after an instantaneous temporary blackout. In this case, the warning message of "Power Flickered!" will appear on the LCD screen. The M7CL can be used temporarily, but restart it as quickly as possible for operational stability.

V1.14

Fixed Bugs

  • Input audio signals of all channels from an inserted MY8-AE96/MY8-AE96S would cut off for about 1 msec when even one channel input signal from the card stopped due to the cable being unplugged or for another reason.
  • An error message “Wrong Word Clock” appeared and the audio signals were muted when an inserted MY16-C/MY16-CII card was set as the word clock master and the M7CL was turned on.

V1.13

Fixed Bug

  • When a USB memory with a rush current exceeding 500 mA was inserted into M7CL, the USB memory did not work properly, so the M7CL data was not able to be saved to the memory and the M7CL data was not able to be loaded into M7CL.

V1.12

Fixed Bugs

  • Inserting a U3 USB smart drive caused the unit to freeze.
  • A fader position in the GEQ pop-up window would differ from the one on the panel if the fader did not have linear response after calibration.
  • In the SELECTED CHANNEL VIEW screen, certain operations would result in not updating the EQ GAIN knob.
  • If the output channels' meter point was PRE FADER, the level meter would show the signal level before INSERT.
  • In the VIRTUAL RACK window, Flex15GEQ in which A/B were linked sometimes linked to 31Band GEQ or an empty rack.
  • A confirmation dialog shown when a rack was emptied would not close when operating in the VIRTUAL RACK window after the dialog was shown.
  • Turning "MUTE MASTER" assigned to a user-defined key on or off would show an EDIT mark in the SCENE field.
  • If a channels' meter point was PRE FADER and GEQ was inserted at the PRE FADER position, the level meter would show the signal level before the compressor or EQ.
  • By switching off the linking of fader operations and of [ON] key operations for the input channels to which Channel Link was set, the operation was effective only for the channel operated first and had no effect for the other.
  • PARAMETER1 of the MONITOR function assigned to a user-defined key occasionally could not be changed.
  • A setting of an input port with an external head amplifier was occasionally not reflected in the M7CL when the setting file was loaded or the M7CL was synchronized from the M7CL Editor.
  • The fade function on/off status was also linked for the ST IN channels with Channel Link being set.
  • Copying a channel while the KEY IN CUE button was on occasionally cued an unexpected signal.
  • A confirmation dialog shown when the EQ's FLAT button was pressed would not close when selecting another channel.
  • Signals for MIX channels 13-16 were not sent to the MATRIX buses by turning the TO MATRIX SEND ON/OFF button on when the send position was set to PRE and insertion was enabled at a PRE FADER position.

V1.11

Fixed Bugs

  • When a set of MY16MADI64 cards were inserted into PM5D, these cards were wrongly recognized as MY8-AE cards. (These cards should be recognized as MY16-AT cards). Therefore, only signals from the first 8 channels of each card could be used, rather than all 16.
  • V1.06 or later versions of the mixer occasionally did not update the HA Gain setting and the Mixer settings (patches, levels, etc.) properly when recalling a scene that would change both the HA Gain and the Mixer settings.
  • The mixer would occasionally hang up when the screen for password entry was frequently switched.
  • When unplugging the Ethernet cable between the M7CL and a computer to which the DME-N Network Driver V1.1.0 and the M7CL Editor was installed after connecting to the M7CL online via computer and closing the M7CL Editor, the Editor could occasionally not be reconnected online. This problem was fixed by using the DME-N Network Driver V1.1.1 with the M7CL V1.11.
  • When using an effect with its effect type of "Freeze" in a Rack 7 and setting the REC/PLAY MODE to INPUT, recording/playback was not triggered by the input signal.
  • When a channel was set to "PRE FADER" as the insert location and "PRE FADER" was selected for the meter point, the signal level just before the insertion was shown.
  • The sample name of the GuitarAmp icon has been changed to Lead Gt from Read Gt (spelling error).

V1.10

New Features

  • The scene data and library data files saved on M7CL Editor can now also be loaded on the M7CL console.
  • You can now view the M7CL Help by pressing the “?” (Help) button in the function access area. For details and other functions, see the M7CL V1.10 Supplementary Manual.

Fixed Bugs

  • When a user logging in as the Administrator or Guest assigned PAGE BOOKMARK to a user-defined key, the panel would hang up when pressing the key after the mixer was restarted. ( Only with the firmware V1.06 )
  • The mixer sometimes would hang up when using several user-defined keys to which different GEQ/EFFECT popup windows were memorized with PAGE BOOKMARK, then quickly switching among the windows, or by pressing the several keys simultaneously to switch the windows.
  • Sound level would drop by -12dB when ST IN 1-4 was selected as the monitor source.
  • Signals were not sent when patching ST IN4L/R to IN22-24.
  • The LED would flash much more slowly than the real tempo when using the Tap Tempo function with a user-defined key.
  • Dynamics ON/OFF setting was not reflected in the M7CL Editor by copying and pasting the dynamics settings on the M7CL.
  • When MIX/MATRIX channel was copied after the COPY TARGET field was changed on the CH COPY Mode window of the M7CL while online with the M7CL Editor, the editor copied the channel ignoring the changed COPY TARGET.
  • When assigning PAGE BOOKMARK to a user-defined key, the indicator sometimes flashed even if no screen was assigned to the key.
  • Some MY-Cards were occasionally not recognized properly when inserted into a slot.
  • When CH LINK screen was showing and the SEL in the function access pannel was switched while holding down the ST IN [SEL] switch, the ST IN [SEL] switch behaved as if it were being held down even when it was released.
  • When using the user defined key SET BY SEL [PRE SEND] function the panel LEDs did not switch properly when pressing the SEL buttons to change the send point.
  • When a User Key for which OSCILLATOR - SELECTED CH ASSIGN and a ch combination was assigned to User Defined Key was loaded, the combination was sometimes not reflected in the panel.
  • The menu for De-esser Key-in has been changed to reflect the available source.
  • When in Patch/Name screen for an Input CH, (and choosing Slot 3 or RACK) if an Output was SEL the patch menu was hidden.
  • The loading and the scene clear progress bars were sometimes shown alternately when loading data with scenes fewer than the current number.
  • Momentary mutes heard when sweeping HA GAIN have been improved.

V1.05

Fixed Bugs

  • Condition: When an MY8-AE96 or MY8-AE96S card is inserted into M7CL, and the card receives a “88.2kHz” AES/EBU signal from some external equipment, and the WORD CLOCK / SLOT SETUP popup window is on the touch screen.
Symptom: The touch screen freezes and cannot be controlled.
  • Although the INPUT TO TALKBACK source setting is “NO ASSIGN” in the TALKBACK section, the “ST IN 1L” channel signal is selected as the INPUT TO TALKBACK source by an error.
  • When three MY16-C cards are inserted into M7CL, the “Total Slot Power Capability Exceeded!” message appears on the touch screen and these cards cannot be used.

(Only the fader test program for factory test is improved on V1.03.)
