PM5D V2
Editor

Instructions for use

  • PM5DV2 Editor is an editor for the firmware V2.x of the PM5D. Use PM5D Editor to connect the firmware V1.x of the PM5D and create data on the firmware V1.x of the PM5D.
  • The setting files created from the PM5D V1.x or PM5D Editor (extension: .PM5) can be loaded to PM5DV2 Editor and the PM5D V2.x. The setting files created from the PM5D V2.x or PM5DV2 Editor (extension: .PM5) cannot be loaded to PM5D Editor or the PM5D V1.x. The setting files created from DSP5D Editor (extension: .PM5) can be loaded to PM5DV2 Editor and the PM5D V2.x.
  • A session file stored on PM5D Editor/PM5DV2 Editor/DSP5D Editor (extension: .YSE) or a file stored on Studio Manager (extension: .YSM) cannot be loaded to a different editor. The files can only be loaded to an editor in the same condition when the files are stored.
  • While the PM5D/DSP5D is loading a file or synchronizing to enable cascade-connection, the communication with the editor automatically becomes offline. Synchronize the editor with the PM5D/DSP5D after the process is completed.
  • The DSP5D does not include the EVENT LIST function. An event shown on the Scene window EVENT LIST page of DSP5D Editor indicates data loaded on the editor, not the DSP5D status.
  • Until the BUSY indicator at the top of the display (in the constant display area) goes off after the PM5D is started, PM5DV2 Editor cannot go online. After the BUSY indicator goes off, synchronize PM5DV2 Editor with the PM5D. As for the DSP5D, wait for a while after the start-up to synchronize DSP5D Editor with the DSP5D as well.
  • When cascade-connection is enabled, the following operations cannot be done on the editor. Disable cascade-connection for the operations below.
    • Editing a scene and library (with copy, move, undo, clear, or store).
    • Synchronizing the editor in the direction of the PC to the console (DSP5D).
