Yamaha HPH-MT7 Headphones Monitor MusikMesse and ProLight+Sound 2016

Apr, 2016

Ever since the legendary NS-10M loudspeaker took its first bow, Yamaha has been a name synonymous with quality audio monitoring. The latest in the company’s exceptional monitor products is the HPH-MT7 headphones, which will be on demonstration at MusikMesse and ProLight+Sound 2016.

The NS-10M became a mainstay of professional studios the world over, renowned for their legendary accuracy. From the NS-10M to the latest MSP and HS Series, Yamaha has remained faithful to a design philosophy focused on delivering the sonic accuracy that provides sound professionals with the perfect platform upon which to develop and establish their own signature sound.

Yamaha MT Series studio monitor headphones remain true to this fundamental concept, delivering precision sound reproduction that meets the demanding requirements of today’s professional studio and monitoring applications.

Available in black or white finish, the closed-back, circumaural HPH-MT7 headphones deliver superb fit and isolation with a level of comfort that ensures long hours in a critical listening environment aren’t too arduous.

Featuring 40mm custom drivers equipped with CCAW voice coils and powerful neodymium magnets, they deliver flat, high-resolution sound with precise stereo imaging at any sound pressure level. Made from aluminium wire coated in highly conductive copper, the lightweight yet powerful drivers provide a broad frequency response of 15 Hz-25 kHz to meet the demands of modern live and studio monitoring.

A three-dimensional arm pivot construction and highly adjustable slider length allows the angle of the large, comfortable ear pads to fit the shape of the wearer’s head perfectly, helping to alleviate fatigue when working for extended periods, while moveable ear cups allow single-ear monitoring when required. HPH-MT7 headphones are also designed to withstand the rigours of road travel. The solid ABS housing, die-cast aluminium support-arms, and sweat-resistant headband ensure that they are able to endure extended use in any working environment.

Another key design element ensures that users are not hindered by the cable, yet provides enough length for monitoring applications where mobility is a consideration. The straight, lightweight 3m cable is equipped with a corrosion-resistant, gold-plated stereo mini-plug and a gold-plated 6.3 mm stereo adaptor, allowing HPH-MT7 headphones to be used with both professional audio gear and portable audio players.

Yamaha is exhibiting at Hall 3.1, Booth E50 at ProLight+Sound 2016, which takes place at Frankfurt Messe from 5th - 8th April 2016 and Hall PH.V, Stand A01 at MusikMesse, which takes place at the same venue from 7th - 10th April 2016.
