Dante-MY16-AUD Firmware V3.7.2.2 (Previous version)

Important Notice

  • In order to install this firmware v3.7.2.2, your Dante-MY16-AUD's firmware version must be v3.4.0. If your firmware version is earlier than v3.4.0, please update it tov3.4.0 first, and then to v3.7.2.2.
  • When updating your firmware to v3.7.2.2, please make sure to check "Override Device Matching" in Dante Firmware Update Manager. Otherwise, you cannot find the matching device.
  • Please use the appropriate version of Dante Firmware Update Manager.
  • If your firmware version is v3.3.6 or earlier, use Dante Firmware Update Manager v1.0.6
  • Please do not use the EEE function (*) of network switches in a Dante network.
Although power management should be negotiated automatically in switches that support EEE, some switches do not perform the negotiation properly. This may cause EEE to be enabled in Dante networks when it is not appropriate, resulting in poor synchronization performance and occasional dropouts.
    Therefore we strongly recommend that:
  • 1. If you use managed switches, ensure that they allow EEE to be disabled. Make sure that EEE is disabled on all ports used for real-time Dante traffic.
    2. If you use unmanaged switches, make sure to not use network switches that support the EEE function, since EEE operation cannot be disabled in these switches.
    * EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet) is a technology that reduces switch power consumption during periods of low network traffic. It is also known as Green Ethernet and IEEE802.3az.

  • Dante products for Yamaha mixers and processors have a built-in Dante module, and its firmware needs to be updated accordingly.
  • When Dante-MY16-AUD 3.3.9 or lator is used in conjunction with CL series, please update the CL/Rio firmware to V1.11 or later.
  • When Dante-MY16-AUD is used in conjunction with CL series, please update the Dante-MY16-AUD firmware to V3.3.9 or later.

v3.7.2.2

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a problem in which Yamaha mixing console DM2000 would report a message on its display as "Total Power Capability Exceeded", referring to its card slots. It occurred when using five cards of Dante-MY16-AUD with the previous firmware v3.7.1.11. In this case, any console operations were not permitted. This problem was caused by the incorrect judgment of the electric current notified by the previous firmware.
