DM1000V2 Firmware V2.41 for Mac OS 9 (Previous version)

Important Notice

  • If you would like to use Version 2 firmware, you will need to contact your Yamaha Commercial Audio Dealer to purchase the Version 2 firmware upgrade kit before installing any Version 2 updates on this site. Please note that your console may require repair by Yamaha service personnel if your console firmware is updated from version 1 to version 2 without using the Product ID that is included in the Paid V2 package software. You can check your current firmware version by going to the [Utility]page->[Battery]tab window. The version will be in the lower right corner.
  • This firmware is only for use on the DM1000V2.
It should not be installed on the DM1000VCM. If installed on the DM1000VCM this firmware will render the pre-installed VCM effects unusable. If you have erroneously installed this firmware on the DM1000VCM, proper operation can be restored by reinstalling the correct firmware for that model.

Main Revisions and Enhancements

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a problem in which the phase between the odd and even channels of the MY8-ADDA96 input signal might occasionally shift by one sample when changing the wordclock settings.

*Set the sliding switch of the MY8-ADDA96 card to the "AE96" position.
  • Fixed a problem which occurred when using a MY16-AE or MY16-TD card, in which the data transfer format was returned to the default value (Double Channel mode) when the workclock settings were changed, even if the mode was properly changed from Double Channel to a different mode in the DIO|FORMAT page.

DM1000V2 Firmware V2.40 for Win/Mac OSX/OS9

Fixed Bug
  • Fixed a problem that when the DM1000 was used with an MY8-AE96(S) inserted to the slot and a certain channel input signal was unlocked or failed in synchronization, noise was generated to another channel input signal.

DM1000V2 Firmware V2.30 for Win/Mac OSX/OS9

Fixed Bugs
  • The DM1000V2 now supports the MY16-CII card with the following restrictions.
-The card is shown as "MY16-C" on the LCD display, since it has the same ID as the MY16-C.
-As with the MY16-C, the console does not support CobraNet serial communication.
  • Fixed a problem that the MY16MADI64 card made by AudioService was recognized incorrectly as the MY8-AE when the card was inserted into the slot (occurring in V2.24). The card is now recognized as MY16-AT when the Mode switch is set at 56ch/64ch and MY8-AE96 when the switch is set at DFS.

DM1000V2 Firmware V2.24 for Win/Mac OSX/OS9

Fixed Bug
  • There was a problem that some MY-Cards were occasionally not recognized properly when inserted into a slot, which sometimes prevented the console from being launched, and showed an error message indicating that the consumption current exceeded the limit. The new version has fixed the problem by changing the determination method for MY-Cards.

DM1000V2 Firmware V2.24 for Win/Mac OSX/OS9

Fixed Bug
  • A bug regarding RECALL SAFE is fixed. When recalling a scene which contains different group assignments from the current scene, the group assignments change even if Recall Safe is set for these channels. The bug is fixed in this version.

DM1000V2 Firmware V2.22 for Win/Mac OSX/OS9

New Features
  • The following effect programs are added to the Effects library to correspond to the new Add-On Effects Packages, AE041 (Surround Post Package) and AE051 (Vintage Stomp Package).
    • [No.62] Room ER
    • [No.63] Auto Doppler
    • [No.64] Field Rotation
    • [No.65] Max100
    • [No.66] Vintage Phaser
    • [No.67] Dual Phaser
  • Turn on the power while holding down the [EFFECT] key in the DISPLAY ACCESS section. Then Add-On Effects Demo Function works. All Add-On Effects, AE011, AE021, AE031, AE041 and AE051 are available for 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, if there are some Add-On Effects that have not been installed, the LCD display shows the message, "End of Add-On Effect Demo Mode (10 min. up)." and the effects will be muted and not be available. [NOTE] If you use the scene data for recalling this function in a normal mode, the effect that has not been installed will not be recalled and the previous effect will remain.
    • AE011 (Channel Strip Package)
    • AE021 (Master Strip Package)
    • AE031 (Reverb Package)
    • AE041 (Surround Post Package)
    • AE051 (Vintage Stomp Package)
  • New parameters, "xxx ON TALLY"(xxx = channel number) are added as trigger signal sources in the GPI OUTPUT section. If you select them, the GPI OUTPUT is linked to ON/OFF of the corresponding channel. The minor bugs to set these parameters have been also fixed.
  • Some parameters of THX presets (THXD, THXF and THXM) prepared as a bass management set for surround monitoring have been changed. HPF1,2,3 have been changed from "80-12L"(Linkwitz) to "80-12"(Butterworth).
  • We have been pointed out that the cross point level is too low when executing cross-fade via ESAM commands. So we have changed the cross point level (from about -21dB) to -6dB.
Fixed Bugs
  • When receiving a scene protect parameter from Studio Manager, the console sent a program change message to other MIDI equipment which was connected to the console. This bug is fixed in this version.
  • In the Pro Tools Remote function, the Surround Panner messages were sent from the 4th port even if they should have been sent from the 3rd port. This bug is fixed in this version.

DM1000V2 Firmware V2.24 for Win/Mac OSX/OS9

Fixed Bug
  • The software is changed so that the channel faders which are not assigned to the FROM channel move to the minus infinity position except the REC machine channel faders.
  • The software is changed so that it is possible for you not to assign machines as the REC machine in order to support the pre-read function of Video Editor. (Before this version, you must assign a certain machine as the REC machine.)
Note) This setting cannot be saved into the DM1000 Editor V2.1.1.
