Important Notice

</span> <ul class="normal"> <li>The hardware specification for DME Firmware V3.5x or earlier differs from the one for Firmware V3.8x or later. Fixed Bug

  • Fixed a problem in which scene recalls did not complete if the network settings were changed without restarting and synchronization operation from the DME Designer was executed, after initializing the internal memory by selecting the "Initialize DME" option.
  • Fixed a problem in which the scene data would infrequently be broken, or scene recalls could not be carried out infrequently on certain conditions when the power was instantaneously shut down.

Precautions for updating the DME Satellite

  • If the DME Satellite firmware is updated from versions V3.09 or earlier to V3.10 or later, the internal device updates will be run for about 30 seconds immediately after the first restart. Never attempt to turn off the power while any four (4) [SIGNAL] indicators out of eight (8) at the front panel are alternately flashing in process of updating.

New Features of the previous version (V3.09)

  • The PM5D console can now communicate with the group master DME whose ID is not limited to only 2 but also allows other numbers, when remotely controlling the DME units from the PM5D (DME Control function). In this case, however, the PM5D firmware must be V2.20 or later.
  • The screen image appearing when the DME64N/24N starts up can now be replaced with a graphic file of your choice in the following way. This function allows you to display a desired startup screen-for example, one that includes your facility's name and logo.

    1. Preparing the graphic data
Create the desired graphic data at a size of 160 x 48 dots in black-and-white bitmap format (extension .bmp) and save it as a file with the name "opening.bmp."

    2. Replacing the graphic data
Transmit the graphic file ("opening.bmp") to the DME unit using the DME File Storage function from the DME Designer. This image will be displayed at the startup screen from the next time when the DME starts up.

    3. Other information
To restore the default startup screen, create a dummy file and change the name to "blank.bmp." and storage it in the same way as above. The default startup screen will be displayed from the next time when the DME starts up.
The file transmitted to the DME unit using the DME File Storage function will be automatically erased after completing the internal configuration. This means the file is not stored on the DME unit.
Compatible graphic files are limited to black-and-white bitmap format at a size of 160 x 48. Other graphic files cannot be displayed.
The "Copyright" indication at the bottom of the screen cannot be erased.
Only the DME64N/24N is compatible with this function. The ICP1 is incompatible.

Fixed Bugs on the previous version (V3.09)

  • Fixed a problem in which opening and closing the communication ports repeatedly could result in the ports becoming unavailable when an external controller such as AMX/Crestron remotely controlled the DME Satellite units via Ethernet.
  • Fixed a problem in which the GPI IN function would occasionally not respond to the input signal correctly when a Level parameter of Fader component or Frequency parameter of EQ component was assigned and the Min/Max value was changed on the GPI dialog box of the DME Designer.
  • Fixed a problem in which scenes could not be recalled only on the group master DME when scenes were recalled continuously from external devices, such as via MIDI signals.
  • Fixed a problem in which recalling a scene which included parameter links in a component which included a recall safe setting could occasionally require a long time for the recall operation to be completed.
  • Fixed a problem in which recalling a library on a component could occasionally require a long time for the recall operation to be completed.
