DME Series Firmware V4.00 (Previous version)

Important Notice

  • The hardware specification for DME Firmware V3.6x or earlier differs from the one for Firmware V3.8x or later (including V4.0). Therefore firmware V3.6x or earlier cannot be upgraded to V3.81 or later. Also, firmware V3.81 or later cannot be downgraded to V3.6x or earlier. (This does not apply to the SP2060 or ICP1.) If you need to upgrade your DME from V3.6x or earlier to V3.81 or later (including V4.0), please contact your Yamaha dealer.
  • It is needless to change the DME hardware when you need to upgrade/downgrade between V3.8x and V4.00 or later. Please download the required firmware version from our download page and update your DME by using DME Designer.
  • Save an up-to-date DME project file (*.daf). Don't update unless an up-to-date ".daf" file has already been saved on your computer. Without the ".daf" file, you will not be able to restore DME operation.
  • DME Designer is required to installat the firmware
    * The latest version of DME Designer runs on Win7/Vista (32bit/64bit)/XP.

New Features

  • The Yamaha MY4-AEC Acoustic Echo Canceller card is now supported.
  • A Partial Recall function has been added.

Improvements

  • The time duration from the reading until the start of playing Wave files has been reduced when using Wav File Player.
  • The processing speed has been improved when any external device is used to remote-control DME or vice versa, via [GPI] or [MIDI] connectors.
  • When the UTILITY display appears using ICP1, pages can now be displayed in reverse order by pressing the [CANCEL] key.

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a problem in which unexpected parameter links would function because the previous parameter link setting was applied when effect types were changed in the SPX component for which parameter links were set.
  • Fixed a problem in which noise could occur when the DME firmware was restarted, if the delay time was somewhat lengthened.
  • Fixed a problem in which information changes could not be sent to the computer (DME Designer) when the computer was connected and parameters were changed continuously from external device (e.g., GPI).
  • Fixed a problem in which different global link parameters could be affected when parameters were changed in any global link if multiple global links were set along with DME.
  • Fixed a problem in which an "Err: Wrong Device Group Settings" message would infrequently appear and the master devices and slave devices could not communicate when the power switched was turned on in the order of master devices then slave devices.
  • Fixed a problem in which noise could occur at the time Wave file would stop when the Wave file, whose sampling frequency was different from that of the Master Clock, was played.
  • The behavior of the dial, which was used to change parameters assigned to the User Defined Button, is now faster in response.
