New manager appointed for Iberia peninsular

Jun. 16, 2009

Yamaha has appointed Manuel Rivera to the position of Commercial Audio manager at its Iberia office, based in Madrid, Spain.

After a long career as an engineer in the Spanish professional audio industry, Manuel joined Yamaha in 2003 as head of the service department in Madrid. There he was tasked with carrying out a major restructuring, making significant improvements to customer service levels.

Manuel was promoted to Commercial Audio sales manager last year and his rapid promotion to the overall managership of the Iberian office is on merit of both his unparalleled product knowledge and his excellent customer relations skills.

“This is a time when the new, closer Europe requires new and innovative approaches to business,” he says. “In my new role I am determined that we will work hard as a team to enhance Yamaha’s industry leadership in the Spanish and Portuguese professional audio markets.”

“Manuel brings a fresh and dynamic leadership to our operations in Iberia,” adds Nick Cook, European Marketing Director for Yamaha Commercial Audio. “His product skills have benefitted Yamaha and our regional customers greatly over the past six years.

“His promotion is well deserved and I am certain he will make a significant contribution to maintaining Yamaha’s position at the leading edge of the pro audio industry in the region.”
