Banquet Room: Medium

System Features

  • A digital matrix processor is used to serve a room that will be partitioned for many applications.
  • Overall system routing and processing is handled by a single MTX5-D unit in the amp room.
  • Support speakers are positioned around the room for uniform delivery.
  • Wall-mounted DCP4V4S control panels are provided in both the Room A and Room B areas for convenient volume control and preset selection. Room A additionally features an 01V96i digital mixing console that can handle live music.
  • The feedback suppressor built into the MTX5-D automatically detects and prevents annoying feedback while at the same time protecting the system’s speakers from feedback damage.
  • The MTX5-D scene memory can store up to 50 complete setups that can be instantly recalled whenever needed, making it easy to switch setups for a variety of applications.
  • XMV series amplifier settings can also be stored in and recalled from the MTX5-D scene memory, significantly reducing the amount of time and effort required to set up the overall system.
  • The MTX5-D equalizer can be an effective tool for increasing clarity and intelligibility.
  • The MTX5-D features a built-in priority ducker function that automatically reduces the volume of background music when an announcement is being made.
  • A built-in MP3/WAV file player means that the MTX3 can play background music, scheduled announcements, or chimes, etc., without the need for external playback equipment.
  • The CD-S300RK accepts direct digital input from iPods or iPhones, allowing extended high-quality BGM playback while power for the source is supplied by the CD player unit. Digital music files stored on a USB memory or other type of portable digital music player can be played back as well.
  • Built-in delays allow the MTX5-D to precisely compensate for distance delay between speakers for clear, well-defined sound. Proper delay compensation also makes it possible to achieve optimum sound quality and imaging without having to use excessive volume levels.
  • The 01V96i supports audio streaming, so that with appropriate DAW software installed on a computer, the console and computer can be connected via a single USB cable to allow 16-in/16-out multitrack live recording.

Installation and Administration Features

  • Audio communication between the control desk and amp room is handled by a Dante network via CAT5e cabling that reduces the amount of cabling required while preventing signal degradation during transmission. Cost for changes and repairs to the cabling infrastructure is reduced as well.
  • Installation series white speakers harmonize gracefully with just about any interior décor.
  • The XMV4280 power amplifier can be set up to drive low and high impedance loads in 2-channel groups, so a single unit can simultaneously power low and high impedance speaker systems.

* YDIF is a proprietary Yamaha connection protocol that dramatically simplifies installation while allow flexible system expansion.
