System Features

  • This system features a digital mixing engine that also provides zoning capability.
  • Different program material can be fed to three zones: the hall, lobby, and dressing rooms.
  • Installation Series speakers feature precisely controlled phase characteristics. Minimal phase interference means consistently high sound quality at any listening point within the speaker’s service area.
  • Overall system routing and processing is handled by a single DME24N unit in the Control room.
  • BGM for the entire facility can be controlled from the LS9-16 digital mixing console in the control room, while the main theater audio can be controlled from either the LS9-16 or the 01V96i digital mixing console in the wings.
  • Equalizers, speaker processors, and a multitude of other audio components that can be configured and combined via a computer application give the DME24N the flexibility and scalability to deliver optimum functionality and performance in an extremely wide range of applications.
  • With multiple processing functions built into a single convenient unit, the DME24N can reduce cabling requirements and thereby limit problems such as shorts or bad connections that can occur over time. Installation as well as repair and maintenance costs are reduced as well.
  • The DME24N equalizer component can be an effective tool for increasing clarity and intelligibility.
  • Since the DME24N speaker processor component features processing data for Yamaha speaker systems built in, it’s easy to achieve optimum sound and matching while protecting the speakers against overload damage.
  • The DME24N delay component can be used to precisely compensate for distance delay between speakers for clear, well-defined sound. Proper delay compensation also makes it possible to achieve optimum sound quality and imaging without having to use excessive volume levels.
  • The DME24N Event Scheduler component works with the DME24N WAV File Player to play back specified sounds, such as regular pre-recorded announcements or chimes, at predetermined times without the need for any external equipment. It’s also possible to control external GPI-capable devices on a predetermined schedule.
  • The LS9-16 features a built USB memory audio recorder/player. Events can be recorded and background music supplied without the need for an external recorder or player.

Installation and Administration Features

  • The VXC series speakers have a temporary “Anti-Drop tab” attachment feature that allows the installer to quickly position the mount bracket and then use both hands to safely do the final installation.
  • The lower power consumption of Yamaha power amplifiers contributes directly to reduced running cost. Low heat generation is another advantage, resulting in longer life as well as reduced repair and maintenance costs.
