Banquet Rooms with Foyer

System Features

  • A digital matrix processor is used in this system to allow flexible configuration of four banquet rooms and a foyer via a Dante network.
  • Rooms A through D can be used independently, or the areas can be partitioned to provide medium-size rooms A+B and C+D. It is also possible to open the doors to all rooms so that they become one large area that includes the central foyer.
  • Overall system routing and processing is handled by an MTX5-D digital matrix processor in the amp room.
  • In addition to handling audio input and output for the rooms in which they are located, the individual MTX5-D units in each room provide Dante network communication with the other rooms as well. Individual sources can be played back in each room, or a single source can be broadcast to all rooms and the foyer, for example.
  • All rooms feature wall-mounted DCP4V4S control panels for convenient volume control and preset selection.
  • The feedback suppressor built into the MTX5-D automatically detects and prevents annoying feedback while at the same time protecting the system’s speakers from feedback damage.
  • The MTX5-D scene memory can store up to 50 complete setups that can be instantly recalled whenever needed, making it easy to switch setups for a variety of applications.
  • The MTX5-D equalizer can be an effective tool for increasing clarity and intelligibility.
  • A built-in MP3/WAV file player means that the MTX5-D can play background music, scheduled announcements, or chimes, etc., without the need for external playback equipment.
  • The CD-S300RK and CD-C600RK CD players located in each room accept direct digital input from iPods or iPhones, allowing extended high-quality BGM playback while power for the source is supplied by the CD player unit. Digital music files stored on a USB memory or other type of portable digital music player can be played back as well.

Installation and Administration Features

  • Audio communication between the control desk and amp room is handled by a Dante network via CAT5e cabling that reduces the amount of cabling required while preventing signal degradation during transmission. Cost for changes and repairs to the cabling infrastructure is reduced as well.
  • The main speakers in rooms A through D are Installation Series models finished in white for an elegant, seamless visual blend with the interior décor.
  • The XMV4280 power amplifier can be set up to drive low and high impedance loads in 2-channel groups, so a single unit can simultaneously power low and high impedance speaker systems. * YDIF is a proprietary Yamaha connection protocol that dramatically simplifies installation while allow flexible system expansion.
