April, 2009

New M7CLv2 software enhances power as well as convenience.

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. has announced a major software upgrade to its successful M7CL-32 and 48-channel digital mixing consoles. The Yamaha M7CLv2 software incorporates features requested by thousands of Yamaha console users worldwide and includes Global Paste that enables simultaneous editing of multiple scenes, and Matrix Sends on Fader, providing access to 24 mix busses.

Additional console upgrades include Post–Fader Inserts on all inputs and outputs, Post-Fader Direct Outs, Monitor/Cue Level on stereo/mono faders, improved Recall Safe mode, and Relative Level Channel Link and User Defined Key Setup on the console’s offline editing software.

"When designing or upgrading Yamaha Commercial Audio products we listen intently to feature recommendations from engineers, the ultimate end users of our products," states Marc Lopez, Marketing Manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. "The Yamaha M7CLv2 provides more power and convenience in a live mix or installed sound situation, and when used with the new SB168-ES Stage Box that will provide more inputs and outputs, it becomes an even more affordable mixing solution."

The M7CLv2 software update will be available by download free of charge during this summer for all existing M7CL users. New M7CL console purchasers will receive the software pre-installed at no additional charge.
