      Monitor Engineer Finds

      After winding down the first leg of the ‘Freedom’ tour backing her “The Element of Freedom” fourth studio album, Alicia Keys has since headed off to Europe with ME Kevin Glendinning in tow.       Rays Summer Concert Series Pull Out All the Stops with 48-Box NEXO Line Array

      Allstar Designs and Installs Yamaha, NEXO System for Beulah Ministries

      Allstar Show Industries recently completed a design/build installation for Beulah Ministries in Edmonton on both their main and satellite campus. A NEXO demonstration sold church leadership on a new system for 98A, the main auditorium. Plishka recommended a NEXO GEO S8 system with six boxes per side for the main auditorium system, four NEXO CD12s and an NX242 processor.

      Saddle River Day School Hires Boulevard Pro For Audio Upgrade

      Boulevard Pro (Oradell, NJ) was hired by the school to take on the task of upgrading their existing 250-seat performance space/auditorium in Alford Hall. After taking out the old system, the auditorium was outfitted with a Yamaha LS9-16 digital audio console with MY8-AD96-CA and MLA8 cards, providing the console with a total of 24 mic lines. Two Yamaha Installation Series IF2112 speakers for front of house PA and two IF2108 speakers for monitors were also installed.

      Asbury United Methodist Calls on American Audio for New Worship Venue NEXO System

      Four S1210 and two S1230 cabinets are used in each of the three arrays for LCR coverage. A NEXO PS10UV2 cabinet was added to each side array for use in outside seating coverage from the opposite array. This signal is processed using a cross-matrix and multiple delay system to minimize timing inconsistencies. Yamaha Installation Series IF2205 speakers are used as front fills at six locations across the stage front with each pair receiving a separately processed, mixed and timed signal from the LCR buss of the console.

      Yamaha LS9 and NEXO Alpha Rock Chicago from the 27th Floor

      Gand Concert Sound (GCS) of Glenview, IL a.k.a ‘The NEXO Guys’ recently brought a NEXO Alpha sound system up to the top of the Wit, one of Chicago’s hippest hotels. The PA consisted of NEXO Alpha ALEF three-way tops and ALS2 subs, NEXO NX242 controllers, ten NEXO PS10 monitors and an LS500 sub for drums. A Yamaha LS9–32 digital audio console was used at front of house.

      Christ Church Moves to Contemporary Worship with NEXO and Yamaha

      The Christ Church GEO S12 system consists of six S1210 and two S1230 boxes in each array. Yamaha Installation Series IF2205 speakers are used for three front fill locations built into the lip of the platform. A Yamaha M7CL–48 digital console, NEXO NX242 processor, Aviom system, Rane RPM system processors, and Crown and Lab Gruppen amplifiers round out the new audio system.

      NJPAC Adds Yamaha PM5D–EX to Prudential Hall

      The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, New Jersey has added a Yamaha PM5D–EX system to their existing stable of Yamaha consoles. The new system, which was purchased through Masque Sound (East Rutherford, NJ), joins two Yamaha M7CL, two DM1000's, and O1V. One M7CL console is permanently installed in the Victoria Theater that seats over 500 at the NJPAC complex.

      ME For Breakout Artist Jason Derulo Uses Yamaha PM5D

      Completing his first leg of his North American tour in mid–November, Derulo, needing a monitor engineer/audio crew chief for the tour, enlisted the assistance of Billy Flores, ME to pop stars such as Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Erykah Badu, and Taio Cruz. Flores, who mixes monitors using only a Yamaha PM5D, said the tour had already been using a PM5D internationally as requested by Derulo.
