      Yamaha’s popular TF series gain significantly expanded audio networking capability with firmware update version 3.1, scheduled for release in March 1st 2017. The update will allow TF Series equipped with an NY64-D Dante interface card to connect to audio networks such as Ravenna that support the AES67 audio-over-IP interoperability standard.

      Sound Works Pro Supports Women's March in Chicago

      A crowd of 250,000 gathered for the Women's March in Chicago on January 21, the day after the Presidential Inauguration, making it one of the largest protests in the city’s history.       South by Southwest might be over, but Nomad Sound (Austin) is still reveling in the amount of stages and audio equipment they provided. The main Waterloo Stage, one of the largest stages, entertained packed-to-capacity crowds with performances by Spoon, Modern English, minus the bear, and Mike Posner, featured a Yamaha RIVAGE PM10 Digital Audio Console at front house, a CL5 monitor console, six per side NEXO GEO S 1210/1230 line arrays over six RS18 Ray Subs, and seven PS15R2 monitors on deck.       SE Systems Covers MerleFest with Yamaha and NEXO

      MerleFest celebrated its 30th anniversary this past April and is long considered one of the premier music festivals in the country. Held on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, the festival was founded in 1988 in memory of the late Eddy Merle Watson, son of American music legend Doc Watson. MerleFest is a celebration of ‘traditional plus’ music, a unique mix based on the traditional, roots-oriented sounds of the Appalachian region including bluegrass and old-time music, and expanded to include Americana, country, blues, rock, and many other styles.

      The Billboard Latin Music Awards are the culmination of the Billboard Latin Music Conference that took place April 24-27 at the Ritz Carlton Miami Beach.       Omnison Supports Formula 1 Grand Prix

      The Canadian Formula One Grand Prix 2017 at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in Montreal is one of the best-attended motor sports events in the world.       Foo Fighters Take Yamaha RIVAGE PM10s On Tour

      Known around the world, the Foo Fighters are an American rock band that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1994. Founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, it began as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana.       Impressive Gear Line Up at Montreal Jazz Festival

      With large crowds of delighted fans and a passionate program, the 38th edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal presented by the TD Bank Group in collaboration with Rio Tinto had an impressive line up of audio production gear provided by both Solotech (Montreal) and Yamaha Professional Audio. Solotech provided the digital consoles and Yamaha provided three NEXO loudspeaker systems.       His heart may have been left in San Francisco, but the 91-year’s young crooner Tony Bennett hails from Astoria, Queens and still showing no sign of slowing down. On a recent stop at the Bayside Summer Night Series at the Embarcadero Marina Park South in San Diego, summer home to the San Diego Symphony, Bennett’s front of house engineer and production manager, Tom Young, had an opportunity to get his mixing hands on the flagship Yamaha RIVAGE PM10 Digital Audio Console, one of two that Hi-Tech Audio (Hayward, CA) has successfully placed at the venue for two years in a row.       Alpha Sound Takes Company to the Next Level with NEXO STM, Yamaha Consoles

      Duane Sheets began his career in professional audio over 40 years ago with a recording studio in Salem, Oregon. Soon after, he added a music retail outlet adjacent to the studio that became Alpha Sound.       Lawton First Assembly located in Lawton, Oklahoma has a 10-year history with AGI Professional of Eugene, Oregon. “We needed an AVL company that would understand what our needs were,” states Senior Pastor Don Barnes. “Our church was so outdated, we even had the original red carpet.
