Overview


 

Zhejiang Television (ZJTV) began broadcasting on October 1, 1960. Now it has two channels, broadcasting 260 hours of programs each week. It also broadcasts some of its programs in the United States, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong through cooperation with local television stations.

ZJTV-1, a satellite channel, broadcasts programs in news, education, entertainment and services. Its major programs include Culture Garden (Wenhua Gongyuan), Life (Shenghuo), New Century Forum (Xin Shiji Luntan), Current Review (Shishi Quandian) and Zhejiang Tide (Zhejiang Chao).

ZJTV-2, targeting the urban population of Zhejiang Province, focuses on economic reports. Its major programs include News Sketch (Xinwen Suxie), Reporters' Watch (Jizhe Guancha), Really Happy (Kaixin Zhen Kaixin).

The television station has six studios, including an 800-square-meter one and a 400-square-meter one. It boasts a digital special effect lab, a computer-aided animation studio and an electronic editing room.
