Developed three years ago, Music Delivery is the appropriate name for the mobile recording facility owned by Prism Studios of Athens, Greece.
Designed to be a state-of-the-art unit which is available at just a few hours notice throughout Greece or mainland Europe, Music Delivery features two Yamaha DM2000v2 consoles, complete with additional card inputs and suite of Rev-X reverb effects, providing 80 input channels and cutting edge digital recording power.
"The original plan was to build the best recording mobile unit in Greece," says Music Delivery manager Nikos Karapiperis. "And now, after three years, we can proudly say that we not only have the best mobile unit in Greece but also the most successful. We have recorded many events with a wide array of worldwide artists."
Aided by Panagiotis Kostalas, Yamaha Commercial Audio specialist at Greek importer Nakas, Nikos Karapiperis chose the DM2000s for a number of reasons.
"We chose the DM2000 desks because they are reliable and very easy to work with," he says. "We also really like the mic preamps and the smooth EQ section. We chose two DM2000s because they are patched into a TDM ProTools system, which has 64 recording tracks. Also at some shows the mic inputs alone comprise 80 channels, so it is much easier to control using two consoles in cascade mode."

Providing an ideal platform for use with video unit, film and broadcasting, Music Delivery can be used either as a recording studio or local sound mixing unit and is compatible with any concert venue, theatre or conference centre.
The mobile unit has already been used to record a wide variety of artists and productions, including German heavy metallers The Scorpions, divas Haris Alexiou and Despina Vandi, Sakis Royvas' 'Live Ballads' CD, a series of concerts for Greek television station MAD TV and the same station's annual televised music video awards.
