M7CL V3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Mac to be Released in August

M7CL V3 Editor and LS9 Editor

A Mac-compatible version of Yamaha's M7CL V3 Editor and LS9 Editor applications will be announced at InfoComm 2010, with release planned for August. Mac users will benefit from the most up-to-date features and capabilities for use with the industry-standard M7CL and LS9 live sound consoles.

Shizuoka, Japan, Jun 8, 2010 - The new software will be launched at Yamaha's booth (C6748) at InfoComm 2010, the world's largest and most comprehensive pro AV event, to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 9 through 11.

Since its release in 2005, the M7CL Digital Mixing Console has become a staple of the live sound industry throughout the world. "Version 2" and "Version 3" software upgrades implemented feedback from the field, significantly refining features and usability. The M7CL-48ES delivered direct digital connectivity to Yamaha SB168-ES stage boxes with the same intuitive operating environment and stunning sound while being budget friendly as well. The LS9 Digital Mixing Console also has been favored around the globe since its launch in 2006 as the standard of small format digital live console. The M7CL and LS9 series represents a highly evolved live sound system for a wide range of applications.

M7CL V3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Mac, to be released in August, will take the M7CL and LS9 environment to the next level. The Network-MIDI Driver has been redesigned specifically for this release, allowing M7CL Version 3 and LS9 consoles to talk directly to Mac computers. The Network-MIDI Driver assumes the role of the "DME-N Network Driver" used on Windows platforms. Like the Windows version, M7CL V3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Mac run under the Studio Manager V2 host, providing the same features and operating environment as the Windows version. For M7CL, advanced features such as Sends on Fader operation via the M7CL V3 Editor are now available via the Mac platform.

"We are delighted to release M7CL V3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Mac to our console users around the world" said Kazunori Kobayashi, General Manager of Yamaha's Pro Audio Division. "The release of M7CL V3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Mac, as well as the recent introductions of the digital stage box friendly M7CL-48ES and Version 3 upgrades to the M7CL series, reflects to feedback from the field and incorporating relevant upgrades to give both existing and new users a thoroughly up-to-date, efficient working environment. This is an approach that we will continue to pursue into the future."
